Day 98 - Yes, Finally, Ikea

Thursday July 23rd

Went for a run with Mrs N this morning. My watch kept beeping due to the pace so had to turn that off after 2 mins. Just under 3 miles, up and down some hills was a good start. I don't think she likes running with me.

We spent an absolute fortune at Ikea but being the pros we are, we got in and out before the real carnage began. Got everything in the car somehow and then I burst with pride as all three of my children set to work constructing Ikea furniture. Start 'em young and they'll be experts by the time they buy their first home. Brings a tear to the eye.

Ted put together a kitchen table, Alice the coat rack and some boxes and Ellen surprised us all with a bedside cabinet. My piece de resistance was a full length kitchen cabinet for our considerable collection of glasses. Didn't finish it so have to pop back to Ikea in the morning...
