Day 70 - Last Charge of the Ragnar

Thursday June 25th

Got up feeling decidedly ropey this morning but knew I couldn't let the gang down on our final track workout. Glad I didn't as everyone was there except for Ed and Doctor Robert and Ed turned up at the end. We finished off with a relay race and I smoked Mike H before Pete did the same to David. Amazing end to my running days with these guys. I salute you.

Walked Alice up to school for her last day and charge to the new owners as we headed up Farlane. It turns out their truck went to Hastings, NY which is 300 miles up the road. Oops. They seem nice enough and undeserving of the tag we have given them. They heard the raucous cheering on the track this morning and tonight they will get HHS graduation. They'll think it's really really noisy on our little corner.

This afternoon I went go karting with Anthony, Kevin and cousin Anthony. I was a little nervous as Anthony is a little competitive and knows about cars but in the end it was very very funny. I went out first for Race 1 and they all got tangled up behind me so I won that one with the fastest lap. I was drawn first for Race 2 which was great with lots of grumbling so I went out wide at the start and bided my time. Sure enough Anthony crashed, I got round them both and slowly reeled Kevin in before passing him on the last lap. Double Winner.
