Day 67 - Alice Graduates From Hillside

Monday June 22nd

At 8am I was sealing the tiles in our shower for the billionth time and realised to my horror that the sharp ammonia smell was lingering in the bathroom...we opened the window, burnt some matches, sprayed some perfume and it finally dissipated...phew

We then headed up to Hillside to see Alice graduate from 4th Grade with all her friends. A little emotional but not too bad. We then sped home for the buyers' walk through before loading all our remaining possessions and depositing them at Peggy's house.

We didn't hear from the lawyer til we called him ourselves so were relieved to find out that all was well. Went and collected our checks before breathing a big sigh of relief and depositing it at the bank. WE SOLD OUR HOUSE....whether the figures are accurate or not I don't know but only 2 houses in Hastings have sold during the time we had ours on the market. Karma

Ellen had a not so surprise party at the Stantons which went as well as could be expected. It wsa only the right that all the kids we wanted to stay left early and vice versa. Had a couple of drinks and collapsed into bed...a real bed not a f***ing futon mattress (little did I know there was worse to come)
