Day 65 - Cigars and Blue Label

Saturday June 20th

Rain threatened as we headed off to Ted's doubleheader in Jersey. The boys drew 1-1 with Ironbound, who beat them at the Regionals in May. The second game was cancelled due to rain and the year ended not with a bang but with a whisper. Everyone seemed disappointed with the year which was a real surprise to me as I think Ray put a decent team together after a rough start. It could all fall apart now that Mauricio is going to FC. Oh well, better out of it.

Back for the party and what a send off. It's just a shame that we didn't get on a plane the next day as a grand exit stage left would have been in order. The Tarricones put on an excellent show at party central and we had speeches, poems, cigars, fine whisky, darts and all our friends under one roof. Ellen baby sat for Tim and Shaggy showed up with a mate so we parties late and got to bed at 3.30 a little worse for wear.

Most triumphant
