Day 252 - Christmas Eve

Thursday December 24th

And finally Christmas Eve. It seems to have been a long time coming but finally everyone got here. We served up a big hunk of roast ham and enjoyed a couple of glasses of wine and that was that.

We missed out on the Christmas Eve trip into New York. Anthony and his hip flask boycotted it because I wasn't there which was nice. We have our memories.

We managed to persuade Mrs N to come down to The Bell for a pint before last orders and then the usual last minute wrapping of presents

Day 101 - Essex Girls

Sunday July 26th

Long run this morning, only 7 miles as we had to set off early for Essex, home of Essex girls and the Goulds. A good 2 hour journey on hazardous motorways got us there by 10:30 and the aftermath of Russell's birthday party. Big fry up with all the trimmings. Nice

Went to an activity park for a walk and then Pizza Hut for dinner before trekking back to Winchester. It is a long way but closer than New York. We left Ellen there for the week.

Day 75 - Newark, You Plonker

Tuesday June 30th

Irony, oh delicious irony (not sure this is irony but what the hell, I can't be bothered to find out the exact definition of what happened). Ellen left her cell phone on the shuttle bus. This is the girl that wouldn't let her cell phone more than 1mm from her 24 hours a day and she leaves it on the bus on her last day. Funny.

The day went really quickly until we arrived and spend about 45 minutes at the New York baggage carousel. None of our 10 bags arrived so we headed off to the baggage office and found out we'd flown from Newark. It's been a long week.

Mum and Dad were there to greet us which was fantastic and we headed down to New Forest in convoy. 2 adults, 3 children, 17 bags, no cat and 7 years of memories
