Got home and John has exposed the damage behind the back steps. It's not too bad, just some water damage and no termites. The engineer came and was happy with it so we just need to pay for the repair.
Can't seem to settle down and start on Year 8. It's this relay, it's all consuming right now so will have to put down the protractor til next week. Got confirmation from Kings that they want me to work the week of July 6th in the school. That will be a bit of a rude shock if we only get back on June 30th!
Booked our flights back and decided that we would camp in the rental for a few weeks before the furniture arrives for St Edmunds. M&D went round to the rental and mowed the lawn for us and we agreed that they would come and pick us up with a big van at the airport. A fitting way to return after 9 years away!
