Day 198 - Halloween England Style

Saturday October 31st

Our first Halloween in England since 1999 and, while it has changed, it bears no comparison to Hastings. This is no bad thing as the thought of Halloween overshadowing and replacing November 5th fills me with horror - a British institution that reminds us of Guy Fawkes' gunpowder plot to blow up the Houses of Parliament versus a commercial horror show that encourages kids to eat enough sweets to rot their teeth and send them into sugar induced rampages with eggs and flour. Mmmmmm.
