Day 120 - Crackling

Friday August 14th

Good morning of work, soldiering through the Year 8 textbook. Still need to get to Sequences before the start of term as that's the first topic for my Year 8 class.

Followed that with the relocation of two wall cabinets from the laundry room to the downstairs loo. I still am slightly nervous about the wall fixings but they haven't fallen down yet but, fingers crossed, it's the first room we've finished - 2 wall cabinets, painted, towel rail, picture, mirror...just waiting for a new toilet and taps.

M&D came over for dinner and shocked us with the news that they have given up alcohol for August. This is a first but good for them. Cooked a rack of pork on the grill and it was outstanding. Real crackling and it worked a dream - crisp on the outside, juicy and chew on the inside. I think the collective cholesterol went up a couple of notches around the table. The kids couldn't get enough of it.
